They account for split. Last quarter $.13 translated into $.065 after split. This Q has a $.28 EPS if without split. But the price then was $25 compared with $150 now, after split consideration, or $50 compared $300 now, without split. If you check the stock price in Jan 99, it is interesting that price also rocked before earnings and then fell after earnings. Then a couple of days later a split announcement brought it back up again.
