Donald,

First of all I'd like to congratulate you, LG, SO Haim and many other contributors to this thread. You have all made this an excellent resource! Well done...

I do have one request. I look forward to your index updates...but, sometimes in the 'heat of battle' I don't have time to get to web page and get to the updates...

Would it be possible for you to paste the text of your index updates to this thread, when you put it on the homestead?

SR

Sorry, but markets don't work that way.ggggggggggggggg Just because a certain stock(s) are lagging, one should not assume that they will catch up just because they are lagging, and that money will eventually move there. There are other important factors like earnings/growth projections/etc. Hmmmm, unless this is also part of the NEW PARADIGN. ggggggggggggggggggggg

Donald,

I am afraid you don't understand the new paradigm. It is exactly how it works. I heard an expert on CNBC recently recommending IBM. His reasoning is simple. IBM is over valued but not as over valued as some of the other techs.

Did you see the great Abbey J Cohen today? What a master. She managed to answer three different questions in exactly the same manner - the economy is great, interest rate is low, no inflation, market under valued, buy buy buy, especially buy the GS IPO, oh, by the way, what was your question? Never mind, the answer is the same anyway. (by the way, the question was about what she thinks of the internuts) She danced around that one without missing a beat.

My (new) signal gave me a SELL today for the NYSE. Don't have enough data yet to run it on the NAS.

Donald, >>> the DOW components and may have noticed something of interest. Basicly all the DOW stocks which ran up hard today were the ones that just did not run up lately, and many of those that did sell off or were flat were the ones which have runup lately
like GE, MRK,JNJ,WMT,etc.<<<

"Market history is filled with examples of the NYSE advance-decline line reaching its peak prior to that of the DJI and refusing to go
one bit higher no matter how much further the industrials surged
ahead. This syndrome demonstrates a market advance which is becoming dangerously selective. As confidence lessens, more and more money flows out of the broad market and focuses on only the
highest quality companies. This is always an important warning
signal that the bull market's day of judgement is close by, and that
you must watch your charts and indicators extra closely for further signs of the end."

from the 1988 book "Stan Weinstein's Secrets For Profiting In
Bull and Bear Markets"
