Does anyone know how well Quark Xpress runs on the iMacs - say 233 mghz and up? Or do you have to stick with the PowerMacs?

Quark is not a CPU-intensive app. It will run plenty-fast on a 233MHz. The only thing you may lack is screen real-estate. But with high resolution you will see lots of the page.

Also, where is the least expensive place to buy Quark Xpress?

Buy a used version. I swear Quark hasn't upgraded their software in 10 years.
