Lee, you are correct in saying that the growth in money supply ultimately has inflationary implications. nevertheless the jury on a resurgence of inflation is still out, given the deflationary trends in several large overseas economies. admittedly though, the stock market is sending some worrysome signals.one is the renewed vigour of the cyclical stocks, the other is the fact that the market reacts positively on economic data that are considered 'weak'(witness the latest jobs data). so whether inflation really comes back or not, the *fear* of inflation will.
