If you want a good boring stock, you can't do much better than BRKB compared to the Internuts. Another obscure financial play is FFC. It has been in a rut for a year or so after spectacular growth. Also think about diversifying into the big international funds. I have JOF and SCGEX which aren't too volatile.

FOX is another steady play outside the main tech madness.
