Well while I admit to being an attorney, I am a non-practicing one. When I think of lawyers one cartoon always comes to mind. If you remember "Bloom County" one character was attorney Steve Dallas. In the particular strip he was sitting at his desk looking totally bored. Suddenly he jumped up and exclaimed "I know the problem! This town is too small for just one attorney!".

My opinion remains that the ethics of the legal profession are higher than some other professions, however. When an attorney is impeached from a political office (e.g. Spiro Agnew), he is inevitably disbarred, however the reverse is not true. That said, I'll drop the subject.
