What we need is the lawyer that extracted $50M from Lerach's pocket and those of his partners. The WSJ story indicated that they had no liability insurance.

Sounds like they were a little cocky this time in believing that they would always be "above the law".

There's absolutely nothing to stop someone from attempting to put a shareholder resolution on the next proxy. ... and it just might pass. I doubt it.

Giving KLAC's past behaviour, I would fully expect them to ignore any gentle suggestions from the SEC as well.

The trouble with class action lawsuits is that the lawyers get rich, and the members of the class get crumbs.

Disclaimer: I work for the company. I don't represent the company, and am speaking solely on my own behalf. And I would feel the same about suits against any other company I hold stock in. I just don't think that most shareholder lawsuits create value for the shareholders.
