Preston, I very much appreciate your insight. Unfortunately I was dropped on my head too many times and occasionally need to have things clarified. Doesn't this just make the chart APPEAR, as you say, smoother? In effect it hides much of the stocks movement from view and diminishes the volatility on the chart. I very much want to understand this "idea" you are presenting. Is it as simple as longer term holds Vs. positional trades? Obviously our stops are going to be much looser with the bigger box size, which would seem to favor a longer term position. This would make it even more crucial that all indicators were pointing in the right direction upon entrance. If minimizing losses were priority and thereby searching out the best R/R issues were the goal, it seems the larger box size would compromise these goals.
