Happy Tax Day . . . I put my tax return in the mail yesterday morning. I knew that I would be getting a modest refund so it doesn't make sense that I procrastinated. My Texas is a no-income-tax "country". But with a Bush in the Governor's Mansion, that could change at any moment. You know how those Bushes are about their convictions on taxes. Ted David is getting a lot of kudos and high-fives on the Compaq thread after his interview with CPQ chief Eckhard Pfeiffer yesterday morning. Ted even invoked the name of Silicon Investor in asking Pfeiffer about what he was going to do to improve relations with his angry shareholders. Something tells me Ted won't be getting a Holiday Greetings card from Eckhard this year. At this moment Mark is a little bit off on his Hardy Boys trivia. The boys were Frank and Joe and their father was Fenton. Mark was correct about their hometown being Bayport. I didn't see the Burger King report on CNBC, but did see what must have been a similar report on CNN's Moneyline. I'm betting that Burger King will keep most of the good things at Laurie's location in Iowa. They probably will make cosmetic changes with the new colors & logo and update the kitchen and ordering procedures. CNN said that the first makovers will take place next year in Florida, so Iowans should have plenty of time to plead their case with BK headquarters. I think I've decided that I like Sue's new hairstyle. It took a few days. Justin the awaiting his tax refund
