No posts here this morning? Datek must be working today! I've got a great idea for a software product. Checks how many posts have been made to the SI Datek thread, and produces a red light, yellow light or green light, telling you whether or not it's OK to trade with Datek. How much would you pay? :) Hmmmm.... seriously.... if this were combined with a check of all of their servers... can they be pinged? can you log into them... of course, all this checking would slow-down the servers even further. Oops! OK, then, a third-party service, that does all this stuff from a few places on the net - so that instead of each individual doing all this probing, it's just being done from a few places. Wouldn't tell you if YOU have good connectivity, but would tell you if the problem is you or Datek. It could even enter trades well away from the market, and cancel them, to see how long it takes to cancel. NOW how much would you pay?! :) DARN - somebody already took the domain name I had in mind - "brokeralert.com" is under construction. :(
