It is the first thing that is taken away when people lose their freedom, such is what is happening in Serbia. I have found that the free press, as a rule, has been very responsible in producing credible news. We even have multiple investigative shows that try to disprove or prove government versions of events, and other significant news stories. Many of US trials are broadcast to the public. Not much is hidden in the US from the public or the investigative claws of the free press. I feel sorry for you that you have so little faith in the free press. I feel sorry for you that you might lack the ability to distinguish between a news service that is censored by a dictatorship, and news services that report freely. Be careful what you ask for. If you keep demanding that you be fed only government dictated censored news, you might get it some day. Could that be the fitting reward for a fool? <g>
