Qualcomm Declares 2-for-1 Stock Split as Shares Triple in '99

San Diego, April 14 (Bloomberg) -- Qualcomm Inc., which makes cellular phones and networking
equipment, said it will split its shares 2 for 1, as the stock has more than tripled so far this year.

The company will split its stock May 10 to shareholders of record as of April 21.

Qualcomm last split its stock in February 1994. Shares of the San Diego-based company fell 11
13/16 to 157 15/16.
NYSE/AMEX delayed 20 min. NASDAQ delayed 15 min.

I noticed that change in language as well. What ever happened to "scrappy" and "upstart" that we read about six months ago?
