"translated down through numerous languages by men"

The New Testament and the Septuagint(Greek version of the old translated into Greek during the third century B.C.) were written in Greek and consequently the Greek Orthodox Church has had no need of translation.
New Testament documents were written by eyewitnesses or by men who gathered their material from eyewitnesses. They were mostly simple men who recorded what they saw and heard about the life of Jesus.
A careful unprejudiced reading of the original documents will reveal the authenticity of the material and the divinity of Christ.
