ST MOBILE DATA TO DISTRIBUTE INFOWAVE WIRELESS COMPUTING SOLUTIONS IN SINGAPORE AND INDONESIA Agreement represents Infowave's first wireless initiative outside North America Burnaby, British Columbia, April 15, 1999 – Infowave Software, Inc. (VSE: IWM) today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Singapore's leading wireless data operator, ST Mobile Data Pte Ltd. (STMD). The agreement forms the basis for STMD to sell and distribute Infowave's wireless computing solutions to corporations in Singapore and Indonesia. STMD, a member of technology-based multinational conglomerate Singapore Technologies Group, carries more than 80% of the wireless data traffic in Singapore. STMD's Mobitex wireless data network provides coverage of Singapore and up to 15 km of its surrounding territorial waters. STMD is also the operator of the Mobitex wireless data network in Indonesia. Infowave's wireless software leverages the advanced capabilities of Mobitex wireless networks, which are now operating in 22 countries around the world. “This agreement with ST Mobile Data represents Infowave's first wireless initiative outside of North America,” said Jim McIntosh, Infowave's president and CEO. “We are very excited by the opportunity to have corporations in Singapore and Indonesia improve communications and productivity with Infowave's wireless Exchange® and Intranet solutions.” STMD will resell Infowave's wireless product line, including Infowave for the Net, a new product that allows mobile computer users to access their corporate Intranet wirelessly. Infowave for the Net was first demonstrated yesterday at the Spring Internet World trade show in Los Angeles.
