I have been reading up on the history of the
Balkans. The English historian William Lecky
was absolutly correct when he said that the
history of the Balkans was of "Monks, eunics,
women, eye gouging, and endless fratricide..."
I think at one point the Byzantine Empire had
12 emperors in a row executed, torchured, or
a combination thereof...
