Maybe IBM didn't want to sell ... I'm sure that AMD is also paying Motorolo
some money.

Yousef,

I rarely post and just made one to Jim. I have a gut feeling that you are going to response to me with words like "Craps" and "HYPE". So I am going to beat you to it this time. <G>

First all, IBM wants $300M for their Cu. All they say is AMD can use it. AMD still has spend more money to develop it. AMD just do not have that kind of cash.

Next, AMD is not going to pay a dime for Moto's Cu. AMD is sharing the cost to joint develop. In exchange, AMD is developing and integrating a process for Moto. So stop hyping. Will you? <G>
