AN AWAKENING OF THE DEAD
CHRZ has gapped up significantly on three successive days.KEA hit a wall today with its pre-open announcement that due to Y2K revenue shortfalls the 1999 earnings are expected to be 4-8 %below analyst expectations.KEA opened 12 minutes late at down 1 5/8 but recovered 1$ on 2.5mm shares despite a downgrade by Goldman Sachs. I thought KEA management provided a credible story of their plans to grow their non Y2K business at 30% per year. IMRS was caught in the opening downdraft on KEA and fell 12% in the first half hour. It recovered all of the loss and finished ahead 2.4% when the KEA conference call reassured the chicken littles the sky was not falling. I capitalyzed on the IMRS volatility today by day trading for a 3M$ gain.
