-8 7/8 RT

Common things with Internuts. Regardless of how good the AMTD report is, the pre-announcement run-up was so big that it and EGRP could "only" go down. Unfortunately now the Puts are a little too expensive to protect a long position in EGRP.

Promise, next time instead of saying after the facts "I anticipated it", I will try to post that kind of comment ahead of time.

For me, E*Trade performed terrific today, they must have added another 386 or 486 to their server network-- ha! Seriously, like everybody here who uses E*Trade (I've been with them for two years), I've had the same problems we all hark about. Today, though, during the sell-off in the Nets, I executed two sells and one buy with market orders during the fast moves in both directions. Sold AOL @ 147 and EGRP @ 115. The buy was EGRP @ 100-3/4 (approx.) and I got a confirmation in about 90-seconds (unbelievable, but true <ggg>). Perhaps it was just luck, but this is the kind of performance I had back in '97 and first half of '98. Still wouldn't recommend it for daytrading, that for sure.

Anyone else want to share their E-broker performance during yesterday's bloodletting?

By the way, can anybody else able to confirm EGRP up about 10% on Instinet after hours?

Good luck to us tomorrow!
