I agree AMZN is a joke. And I wouldn't disagree that OLB's are an addiction for many. I beleive, however, that it is an addiction that for most will end in tears. I also believe that for retail brokerage, these are peak earnings. IN addition I believe that operating on the net reducues the cost of operating a retail brokerage it is, at the end of the day, not a whoel lot different than good old fashion brokerage businesses that have been around for decades. Also, should this bubble burst in the spectacular fashion that I believe it will, investors may become aware of the liabilities that margined, inexperienced and naive retail accounts present for the Online brokers that other net businesses don't have. AMZN is ridiculous, but at least the only gearing it has to the bull market is in its stock price and not its underlying business.
