Engineer,

*****OTOT******I got three accounts form Discover brokerage, Brown and company, and Waterhouse. I said Brown and CO. is the best. However, I also like Waterhouse because it does things conservatively. Plus, I am a shareholder. It makes me very rich being a Waterhouse shareholder so far. It is also OK to use Discover brokerage. I used to have Schwab account I do not like to pay a higher commission at all regardless the service some people had claimed.

I am not a day trader type. Just my 2 cents.

Brian H.

Engineer:

Welcome back to Schwab. I, too, had an account with Waterhouse but got sick and tired of Webbroker being "down" during the day. I will miss buying up to 5000 shares for $12, but Schwab's site has a great layout.

Also, if you transfer enough money, you may be able to participate in IPOs. If you do participate in IPOs through Schwab, remember to hold for at least 30 days.

Good luck and hope all goes well for you.
