This is truly interesting today. Ten minutes ago NDB was down 17 now it is up 3 1/2. Hope things are turning around!

When you're not certain about a trade, but are questioning which way to go always ask yourself "Will this preserve my capital?"

Great post! One of the hardest habits I've had to break myself of is the temptation to think that I just had to make certain trades, that the opportunity was too great and would never come again. That led me to make some risky bets which made sleep at night hard to come by. I've been trying to teach myself that if there are any pangs of doubt plaguing me, then pass on the trade. Other opportunities do come along; the astonishing number of "finds" that Jenna has shared with us is ample proof of that. Keep your eyes open; keep your options open. Think in forward-looking terms and make preservation of capital and future trading opportunities as much of a priority as today's profits.

Thanks for the reminder, Rose K, and best of luck trading--.

Rose, Less than a week ago we were all relaying stories of stocks we had sold for a nice profit and then watched them climb straight up. Fri. I held WCAP for 90 minutes and sold for a 23% profit. When it doubled a couple days later I felt I had misplayed it. I was resolving to hold on for the grand slams that were occurring daily. That's why I didn't sell early enough yesterday. 10% on a short term trade was beginning to seem like peanuts. But really that's what Jenna has always advocated. Barbara

Thanks for all the responses everyone. Misery loves company as they say.
The thing that irks me is that I was getting ready for this. I talked with a friend at length on Tuesday evening about taking profits the next day on alot of my positions. The problem was I got pulled away by an emergency in the morning and had to go to a business lunch after that. I didnt have time to set stops or do anything. When I got back after lunch and looked at my screen yesterday I just couldnt believe it. By that time it was really too late for me to do anything and I just decided to hold and even buy a few things with the little cash I had in my portfolio. I have been thinking long and hard about quitting my job to trade and I am convinced I could do it. By being able to babysit everything this wouldnt have happened to me (or at least not as bad). My job cost me 2/3 of my annual salary in about 36 hrs. Burns me up.

Anyway, it is what it is. I am holding the following just waiting for a comeback: VRIO, AWRE, USWB, BYND, GBLX, NSOL, NAVR, DGV WS, BVSN, BKS, MSFT, TBFC, SVRN.
Mostly May call options. Several of these are reporting earnings soon and I am expecting good things. The only one of these positions I regret taking is SVRN, which I did purely on momentum (got in a limit order before I had to go yesterday morning.) Otherwise I like the stocks I am holding. Just wish I was buying them at these levels rather than just holding them here.
Hopefully this correction will be through by tomorrow.
