To make a long story short, Stk was not successful in marketing the product because they could not compete with Emc. The finally struck a deal with Ibm and now sell an OEM version to them. The Ftc, in approving this deal, insisted that Stk continue to market the product to other customers. However, I don't think they are very successful in doing so. Stk is a tape company, not disk storage company. They are not a competitor of Emc. So, I think the EMC downgrades are independent of Stk. Sure would be nice to see a press release from Emc similar to the Lu one.
