Kathy, The most important innovation for the connectivity revolution is JAVA software by Sun Microsystems. These digital applets, or traveling software programs, can run on any computer and communicate with any operating system. This allows communication between powerful server computers and everyday PC's. Java software along with new web browsers and search engines will make it easier for everyday consumers to use the internet to it's full capacity because we wont need to handle the complexity of network communications: The server computer will. Java is also making it easier for businesses to install new computing systems that are compatible with their old ones. SUNW is a core holding in my opinion and it is in my retirement account. MarkC.
