Richard isn't unrealistic, if he's reading the market well (which he seems to be). I think the difference is our frustration over the market's inability to properly define and place AAPL in terms of its products and future.
GE suffers similarly from time to time. 50% of their profits comes from GE Capital. So, occasionally they get valued as a financial company. Of course, that's ludicrous, but it happens. It's hard to tell how to value companies that have multiple value properties.
