I do not think today's jump in the OSX has anything to do with Dow valuation. To put it simply, the big money now knows OPEC is serious and that global oil demand is headed considerably higher. In this environment a big rebound in oil industry capital outlays is virtually certain to begin by late 1999. And the big players don't want to be late for the party (even though it is no longer early)
