Periphonics Receives $2.2 Million Of Additional Orders From A Leading Toll-Free Telephone Service Provider BOHEMIA, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 22, 1999--Periphonics Corporation (NASDAQ: PERI - news), a leading worldwide provider of products and services for call processing solutions used in Computer Telephony Integration and Telecom Enhanced Network Services, today announced that it has received orders for its VPS/is Platform systems valued at approximately $2.2 million from a leading service bureau provider of customized toll-free telephone interactive services. These orders are in addition to $1.5 million in orders from the service bureau provider announced on March 22, 1999. In total, Periphonics has received more than $4 million in orders from the service provider since the start of calendar 1999. The new orders expand the deployment of the Periphonics VPS/is Platform systems to additional sites within the service provider's network. The systems will be used to offer the service provider's customers a solution suite that can address onsite and out-sourced services, disaster recovery, overflow and peak call volume management. Based on the terms of the orders, Periphonics expects to ship the systems and recognize a majority of the revenue during its fiscal first quarter ending August 31, 1999.
