The company reiterated its
expectation that
revenue and net income growth will exceed 30% in 1999, as organizations
continue to rely on
EMC's leadership enterprise storage systems and software to provide the
infrastructure for
their growing volumes of information.


Got to believe that net income growth will be well in excess of the "exceed 30%" EMC quotes. They have to cover themselves for worst case contingencies, so the number they put out must be way down at the low end. Storage sales this year are awesome. I heard a one year number today of 70 Petabytes, which is equal to 70,000 Terabytes, which is also equal to 70,000,000 Gigabytes, 70,000,000,000 Megabytes, if you really want to get crazy. In fact, the 70 Petabytes may "only" be for open storage (no mainframe). I'm holding EMC.
