I'm wondering about who's doing the recent hi-vol buying. This is of course wild speculation at this point, but if Mr. Stronach was interested in a large private placement, or for that matter, buying the company, it would be an inexpensive way to become involved in building an already well-advanced mixed use racetrack from scratch. Because he already owns San Anita in LA, he could develop and utilize the synergies of horse-racing on the west-coast. Mr. Stronach is an expert at creating and exploiting synergies to dominate a market. As Vee suggests, if Stronach ever gets involved, the guys at Richmond City Hall, and in the B.C. gov't., will trip over themselves getting on board.
