Yeah, that was probably a bit overdone!! The weird thing is that people who just read the papers or hear the news will continue to hear/read that the DOW is going higher and higher, masking the turbulence in some of the other indices!! The DOW, in my opinion, in just no longer indicative of our economy, and should modified (add some technology and even Internet stocks), or the press should be more diligent and report on the broader indexes (like the S&P or something)! Regardless, what a ride today!
