Don -- Alan returned from Europe yesterday and I have to think he brought back good news. In a more general sense --- for those who look for pilot fish when hunting for whales --- the following comments from JDS Fitel's conference call may explain strength in the sector: * Market is robust. * 163% growth in DWDM components * Backlog at all-time high and projected to continue * Personnel at 3400, up 900 for the quarter * Market estimated to continue current robustness for 18 to 14 months * Market share immaterial. "When we're growing so fast, no one knows." * US leading market in DWDM --- Europe is happening.
