If memory servers me correctly the CNBC crowd has touted Transportation, Oil, Banking (two days ago) and now cyclical as the sectors to be in. I watch them just so I know what kind of information (?) they are sharing. I also find it very interesting to see how many mistakes they make in a day...unbelievable.

Maybe we should consider what they will proclaim as the next best sector...hmmmm...how about utilities?

FWIW I think AOL will come back nicely, it's just a matter of time.

* SUN MICROSYSTEMS INC reported a 12.5% rise in 3Q earnings, with
the results coming in slightly above Wall Street expectations. "Our record results this quarter can be attributed to our long-time dedication to providing products and technologies based on open interfaces and industry standards," Scott McNealy, Sun CEO, said. Sun said it saw particularly strong demand for its workgroup servers, high-end servers, storage and services. Servers are computers that manage and store data in corporate networks. "This reflects the increasing confidence that customers have in Sun's ability to provide products, service and support on a worldwide basis," CFO Michael Lehman said.
