Richard

You must have a charmed existence. Hasn't been my experience with them lately for sure.

Best Regards

Richard,

I suggest that you buy a couple of 6/49 tickets.

Richard,
You can buy a couple of 6/49's for me while you're at it.

My experience lately has been horrible.

I'm just waiting for my information package and application form from Schwab and I'm off (it can't possibly be worse).

I am fortunate to share your experience with Investorline, Richard. I've had absolutely no access problems yesterday or today. In fact, the only time I have ever had an access problem was when they modified their software about 5-6 weeks ago. I am not a heavy trader but I do use their system on a regular basis (in the last 2 days I've had only 7 trades on Investorline but I've also had 3 or 4 unfilled orders). My orders are being executed very consistently within ~30 seconds to 1 minute. ["Execution" to me means the time it takes to get at least a partial fill or to have my order appear on the bid\ask after I have submitted my order. (I only use limit orders.)]

Notwithstanding my satisfaction with Investorline access and execution of orders, their system certainly has room for improvement. The major problems\complaints that I have with Investorline are as follows:

1) Stops need to be placed via telephone. This is a major deficiency and a real pain in the a**. Because their telephone service is so frustrating (for me) I use "audible alarms" on my own software for my alerts.

2) The Quote\Order screen is visually pleasing but functionally it is the chits !!! The layout\fonts\defaults should be optimized for fewer clicks\keystrokes. It's obvious that the BMO programmer that designed the software is not a trader !!!

3) Their Status Screen is so dreadfully "out of date" \ "slow" as to be virtually useless most of the time. During busy times orders will often show a status of "Pending Approval" for 10-30 minutes after the trades have been filled !! I therefore usually watch my orders execute in "real time" so that I know when I have a fill. (I do realize that this is very difficult \ nearly impossible for the more heavily traded issues.)

Continued "good access" and trading, Richard !!!

Later,
grayhairs

P.S.--Like you I placed an order just prior to the close today. Although my order did execute (i.e. appear on the bid) I didn't get a fill. I guess I shouldn't have been quite so cheap !! <gg>
