Anyone who works with computers and networking knows buying disk drives is a lot different than buying a enterprise storage system for your network. How can they group these companies together. Any new or growing company that is doing business on the internet needs a good enterprise storage system to backup their servers. Enterprise storage is not the same as storing files on your hard drive at home or work.

EMC Corp. and its subsidiaries design, manufacture, market and support a range of enterprise systems and software products and related services for the worldwide enterprise storage market.

Seagate Technology, Inc. designs, manufactures and markets a broad line of rigid magnetic disk drives for use in computer systems and multimedia applications, such as digital video and video-on-demand.

Maxtor Corporation (NEW) develops, manufactures and markets hard disk drive products to customers who sell their products in the personal computer industry. Customers include OEMs, distributors and retailers.
