I dont claim them as capital gains anyway - I claim them as business income - see the tax code - daytrading or an kind of spec trading for ST is only taxable as straigt income. I have the bookmark on my other other computer for that section on the tax rules.

BUT you can drive through a lot of expenses - Cell phone, phone net, SW, % of household expenses , PDAC convention - computer etc

Ms. Andrea Goldstein reports
Canada's first full-choice brokerage, Charles Schwab Canada, Co., has partnered
with Bell Mobility to offer investors in Ontario another innovative way to access
their trading accounts - through Interactive Information Services offered on Bell
Mobility Digital PCS handsets. Schwab Canada is currently working with other
regional carriers to roll out similar services across Canada.
Starting today, Schwab Canada customers with a trading account will be able to
receive real-time stock quotes, log on to their Schwab Canada account, and
execute trades via a Qualcomm QCP2700 phone from Bell Mobility.
Bell Mobility PCS Subscribers who do not have a Schwab account will be able to
receive delayed stock quotes for securities they are tracking, as well as news
headlines, directly from their PCS handsets through Schwab Canada Market
Information.
Full deployment of Interactive Information Services will coincide with the launch of
Bell Mobility's PCS digital data network. Interactive Information Services will be
available to all PCS subscribers with a Qualcomm QCP2700 handset. There is no
charge for the services, and subscribers are charged for digital data airtime usage
only. When a Schwab Canada customer executes a trade via PCS, regular on-line
trading commissions apply.
Bell Mobility was the first to provide real-time stock alerts to Canadian investors
in the summer of 1998, when they joined forces with Priority Brokerage, Inc.
which became Charles Schwab Canada earlier this year. The technology has now
evolved from simply receiving information to allowing customers to both receive
and send instructions via the data capabilities of the PCS phone.
Headquartered in Toronto, Charles Schwab Canada, Co. is Canada's first
full-choice brokerage firm, offering both discount and full-service investment
services. Charles Schwab Canada is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Charles
Schwab Corporation (NYSE:SCH), which is headquartered in San Francisco.
Charles Schwab Canada, Co. is a member of the Investment Dealers Association,
the Canadian Investor Protection Fund, the Winnipeg Stock Exchange and the
Toronto Stock Exchange.
