I don't think so. Look at the environment in which Symantec hit their numbers. Compaq bombs and Intel misses their revenue numbers.

Look what happened to NETA - Symantec's chief competitor. They were expected to make 287 million and ended up with 240-245 million. Look what happened to AXNT, another security vendor. Symantec's revenues grow to 175.6 million

Moreover look at the Corporate sales - up 69% from last year. These revenues are not fickle like retail revenues. Now they have a CEO who should be able to leverage his contacts to sell into the Corporate market.

I think the numbers are very good - but I've been wrong before.

Good Luck

>>Wasen't the whisper # >.45 ? Think this will cause a sell off? thanks JK!<<

Well maybe I was lucky but my quotes went down and my limit sell at 16 3/8 got taken out. Coudnt see a thing but with nas being down 65 sure scared me! But I think no matter what it should go back to the old range of 18+ tomorrow. I think we can even see it moving to the mid 20's.
