Any discussion of next quarter?

From the Press Release <<we expect our second quarter results from operations to be comparable to the first quarter, excluding any special charges.>>

If that means 0.00 profit per share when the analysts are currently predicting 0.07 then that is not good news. Any other takes on the Press Release?

>>>Jodie feels the potential of clik is "larger than zip".....very upbeat on clik.....<<<

They have to be. It's the only thing left to be optimistic about. . But the measly 2.8 Tie ratio won't cut it. It's just what I said all along... people will use Flop! disks over and over and over again to avoid the costs of film. Else, why bother with it? Just stay with film if you're going to buy media after media after media.

Revenues are still falling steadily year to year.

Jaz is dying again with no SparQ...it's CD-RW that's killing it off. No way for Jaz to compete. Say good-bye to even more Jaz revenue 2nd Q.

Flop! drive debut abysmal. $5 Million debut didn't cut it, folks. I've been saying that Flop! will contribute less than $30 Million in total revenue for Iomega during its entire lifetime. And it looks like I'm going to be right once again

THis is a shrinking company. Ditto sliced off along with its $80 Million in annual revenue, Jaz looks like it's soon to follow. Flop! only contributing $5 Million is revenue (cost probably well over $100 Million to develop). It's a sad sad day in Roy.

The Bull's position just doesn't make sense. And this 1st Q 99 Report proves it.

"ORB IS HAPPINESS!"

The raves on Usenet continue to pile in! Check out this post by a user who configured his ORB drive as the boot drive:

x10.dejanews.com[ST_rn=ps]/getdoc.xp?AN=466761742&CONTEXT=924229490.1631584265&hitnum=0

...Now I have my own system, Desktop, and applications and other people who use my machine can't screw it up! Others have their own $30 bootable cartridge. ORB is happiness!

If you think that Jaz is hurting now from just CD-RW killing it, you ain't seen NOTHIN' yet! Just wait till ORB ramps...retail ORB drives due in 2 weeks! ...Gettin' ready to dance on Jaz's grave...
