Did they by any chance tell you how much they charge for trades under $10,000?

Kind Regards

Just a dumb Canuck thought!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if you were a discount brokerage and wanted to increase thru put to "light speed" and the only thing in your way was an antiquated IDA and an old thinking SEC what would you do??? Would you publish the fact that the Know your Client(KYC) is slowing down the whole system and creates huge backlogs in national Newspapers? Then maybe the next week have a whole bunch of irrate customers screaming at the top of their lungs so they can say "I told you so" to the IDA and OSEC/BCSC/ASC???

Would banks who rip you off now on a regular basis, gang up together to p*ss of their own customers so they could go "en masse" to the IDA and say see "get off your A*S??????

Sounds like something a Canuck Bank would do to get around an 1800's trading policy!!! Doesn't it!

Somethin to chew on while you heave your lunch!!!<ggg>

Keith, Royal Action Direct recently implemented stops. They may be a viable alternative to Greenline now and charge similar commissions. The commission schedule at Schwab Canada might discourage people trading higher priced stocks. I have used Royal, E*trade, Investorline and Greenline and in my experience I found Royal to be the best of that bunch.

Keith, $600/month you say? What sort of platinum-plated quote service is this? I thought that level of pricing was reserved for brokers who don't seem to notice. Doesn't Stockwatch give you the same as PC Quote for $50 plus exchange royalties. I hope PC Quote's $600 includes exchange royalties. For $600/month they should be able to kick half of it to Schwab and still smile.
