I'm curious as to why this company is referred to on the boards as being British. I know it is listed in London. But it is based in Jersey the Channel Islands and has exemption from British taxes. Jersey is a kind of off-shore trust territory. The Chairman appears to be an American citizen. Most of the venture capital lending appears to be done in the US. Is the bulk - or any of its insurance and annuities activities carried on in Britain? If not, where?

You can easily verify the exact # of shares (of NETG and NETP) held by LPGLY by looking at the SEC filings..

For NETG -
edgar-online.com

For NETP -
edgar-online.com

You will need to be a subscriber of edgar-online.com for the links to work.
The same filings should be accessible at freeedgar.com (free)
