Why the big runup? Rampant speculation and frenzy. Nothing more.

AOL has a P/E of over 680. The average dow stock has a p/e of less than 20.

All manias end. :)

Nothing to do with AOL. The big boys decided to sell techs and buy paper, airlines, and commodities. AOL has had great news lately, 17M subs now, and more partnerships. When the money shifting is over, I suspect the next ride will favor AOL instead of the 3rd and 4th tier internet names that had been running lately.
