I doubt there are too many senior officers flying combat missions. Sorry, I did not mean to turn this into a running gun battle. This really is a no win situation and one which it seems to me was avoidable with a modicum of forethought. JLA

I don't know about senior, but if I'm an officer (all pilots are officers) and I'm told to get in a plane and bomb Kosovo and I say "I resign" my next stop will be the stockade. It's called desertion in the face of action. I'm lucky if I don't die for it. You really need to learn more about the military before you get too far on your high horse.
