Saw a news report announcing Compaq was going to offer PCs with internet satellite links. They will be using Hughes Electronics Corp. satellite links allowing high speed Web access. Not being a technical person, I would be interested in the technical interpretation of this news. Is this competition for ATHM?

New owner of ATHM thanks to the one day fire-sale. In at 145 and looking for all web stocks to make at least a semi comeback within days or weeks. - ATHM was my first choice when I knew I had to buy something this morning. A keeper. - However there are special situations out there now some of you might be interested in: CDNW (possible Time Warner buy-out), BKS (net IPO coming out within a week or so they say), ONEM (out of quiet period, rural ISP bargain price now), ELNK (got downgraded today for a glitch-like reason, down 25 points and going back thee ASAP), DCTI (buying yet another credit card clearing house for the web, will be #1 in credit card out-sourcing for e-banks and e-commerce), ONSL (something might be happening there. Hmmm), NAVR (IPO spin-off coming out soon from this hot streaming music and media company). These and many others are on sale tomorrow. Get in before Monday morning and renewed frenzy. Nice to met y'all. Hope ATHM puts on 50 points this month. Anyone know when this baby might split?
