I think you are absolutely correct here. All of which begs the question: How much money could they have saved (commissions, spreads, and taxes) and made (not getting stopped out on minor price dips) by just buying and holding and not trying to outsmart themselves? Bull markets make everybody a genius (except yours truly, of course). BTW, your analysis is top shelf, and much appreciated.
