You've asked very valid questions. Novell has recently signed a licensing agreement with Dell and Compaq to sell their caching software solutions on their business computers. Novell still hasn't released the exact figures on how much they get per box. We'll see.........this world does move at internet speed and very few have a lock on the caching market. But it is growing rapidly. As will directory services. GO!

why don't they have margins like microsoft?

for one, they're not as old as MSFT.
