The markets of earlier years cannot be compared to today's computer oriented society. Think of it this way. How big would a store have to be in order to do the buisness ebay does in one day? To stock all of the shelves with millions of items, to hire enough cash register employees to service 500,000 to 1,000,000 transactions every three days! Would you want to wait in a line that long? So what is ebay's value? It will never be decided upon.

What planet are you on?

Few investors are buying these stocks. They are being run up by unseasoned individuals.

Try doing a bit of research. All the brokerages, analysts, journals that are openly bullish on EBay - they are all unseasoned? Feel free to speculate against their judgement but don't suggest that they are all naive.
