LWolf, thanks, I read your update to post. Yes, Novell has been traditionally a LAN company, wtih their NOS Netware software. But since Eric Schmidt, former CTO of SUNW joined the company 2 years ago, he has been a strong advocate and pusher into the internet, with Sept. 98 release of IP ready NetWare 5.0. Now he's pushing into directory's, which will allow a network administrator the ability to manage their network (WAN) centrally. Furthermore, they have many new and value-added prodcuts such as ZENWorks (zero effort networking), BorderManager (their caching and priority allocating product), and NDS, which is in Beta form now as NDSv8, able to see 1 billion objects. I'm not a software engineer, so I can't compare the differences between INKT and NOVL caching, but FYI, INKT decided not to compete in a recent Bake-off competition, where NOVL place as # 1 (see their web site for links etc) amongst other competitors. We'll see, NOVL has a much larger share float than INKT, so we're less prone to price movement like some internets.
