I am that way about most fresh bread products. I love pancakes and waffles, but I like them "dry". Or with a modest gloss of butter. I don't like maple syrup at all.
We have a local microbrewery (recently it had a big banner proudly proclaiming that <local software consultancy> certified their beverage as Y2K Compliant) that serves warm two-tone bread and a little paper cuplet of real butter with the beer. It is so good - by the time the actual food comes, I'm already gorged on warm bread and cool beer.

Spouse and I describe this state of sate as "stuffed&buzzed". Not such a bad place to be.

<<Biscotti is like a hard cookie. For coffee dunking. >>

I had never heard of them, I gotta get out more.

The nuke plant where I fish is being sold. It was supposed to cost one hundred million to build but when it was finally finished the cost was 4.4 billion bucks. Now it's being sold for 20 million. Only a $4,380,000,000.00 loss.
