No I don't work for Symantec. But I have picked up quite about of knowledge over the years. There were some questions that Gordon could not answer in the last conference call (Jan 99) which I could. On the other hand, a comparison with Gordon cannot but be flattering. I've nothing against Gordon but he appeared to be quite muddled and easily lost in details. He had difficulty understanding the questions of the analysts. For all that I know, he may be a great creative genius. And no one ever questioned his honesty (except Borland a while ago). But as a CEO, he did not come always come across very well. I had his handwriting analyzed. He came across as weak and ineffectual if you believe in handwriting analysis. Apparently, they do use it a lot in France. BTW, here are SYMC's estimates from MSN. As one can see there has been no reduction in estimates.
