I agree, Tai - I certainly wouldn't use NT to do what Datek is doing - insufficient scalability. You are forced way too early into unworkable multi-server configurations.

But irregardless, they need to do what I recently read that another online broker did (which one was it?). STOP ACCEPTING NEW ACCOUNTS UNTIL THEY ARE ABLE TO HANDLE THE ONES THEY ALREADY HAVE.

Tai,

As I recall, Web Street is using Apache not Netscape's server software. Is Datek using Netscape server software on NT boxes?

If you were to take away the server problems... Datek is A-Ok in most areas.

Perhaps we should concentrate on a chant... "Switch to Linux, switch to Apache, switch to anything ELSE... but throw-out NT!!"

What about a 'routing' problem - could they be using cheap routers?
Maybe Datek is 'Beta Testing' Microsoft's latest 'woopdy-do' operating system on US!!
