Said a quick goodbye to EGRP, still holding GNET May 160s, VERT, NSOL May 120s and BRCM May 90s. Am mighty tempted to bite on AMZN May 200s, but will wait until Monday (guess today's low of 5 would have been a good price, but unlike you, i was frozen (it was all i could do to hold on to what i had.) I found that there's something about Mary (Meeker) in Friday's WSJ article on Schwab and DLJ earnings. Schwab, whose earnings topped the First Call estimate by a penny a share, fell $14.25, or 10%, to $124, still more than double its price at the end of 1998. Analysts said investors were taking profits in many highflying Internet stocks, particularly after influential Morgan Stanley Dean Witter & Co. analyst Mary Meeker predicted some temporary slowness in the sector during the next couple of weeks. She made her comments at an internal meeting.
