Off Topic... Did you see the short blurb about internet phone providers in the infamous NY Times "Circuits" section yesterday? On Topic... Bill, I am excited about the encouraging news with Lexar recalling that "it ain't over 'til it's over" or until "the fat lady sings". What does Lexar bring to the table to barter with? I mentioned last summer that SNDK has a cross-licensing agreement in this regard with SSTI and I believe that they (SNDK) were interested in their (SSTI) technology which allows for write speeds exceeding 1 MB per second. Eli stated that the current SNDK CompactFlash cards are fast enough for current applications and that modifications in the firmware will allow for better write speeds in upcoming generations of cards. WHAT DOES LEXAR BRING TO THE TABLE? What about Viking, PNY, Simple Technology, Kingston, Kingmax, Pretec, Delkin, or Eiger? I hope that Cindy is able to negotiate a simple licensing fee schedule based on card sales volume. Of course, any arrangement will be top secret so we will have to take Cindy out and get a couple of Long Island ice teas into her before she divulges any company secrets. There must be a lot of bad blood and pent-up resentment and animosity between these two companies. Maybe I am wrong. I think Lexar is a painful stone in Eli's shoe. Ausdauer
